Mission

The Mission of the Capital Region World Trade Center is to educate and assist companies in the development of international trade and investment opportunities -- growing business while enhancing our Region's economic base.

What is the Capital Region World Trade Center?

The Capital Region World Trade Center is one of the 279 World Trade Centers located in approximately 75 countries around the world. While no two are identical, each World Trade Center has the primary goal of promoting and facilitating international commerce. World Trade Centers are supported by, and cater to, the needs of their clients and local community.

Owned by Schenectady County and operated by Capital District Trade Strategies, the Capital Region World Trade Center is a membership-based organization that assists businesses to be competitive in the global marketplace.

Certified World Trade CenterService Quality Standard Certification

On September 23, 2005 the Capital Region World Trade Center received the Service Quality Certification of the World Trade Centers Association during the organization's 36th General Assembly in Shanghai, China.

Based on WTCA's Assessment and the evaluations of independent consulting firm Sirota of New York, CRWTC received the Certification for the following service categories:

-Trade Information Services
-Business Services
-Trade Education Services
-Conference Facilities
-Trade Technology Innovations

The Certification assures both Members and Non-Members of the quality of services we provide.
