In April 2006, Schenectady International, a manufacturer of alkylphenols, electronic chemicals, and phenolic resins changed its name to SIGroup. The new name comes with a new identity and a re-designed logo (see right). This year the company also celebrates its 100th birthday. SIGroup is a truly international corporation with 22 operations in 14 countries around the globe.
We are fortunate to have Frank Hart, Director of Global Sales, on the CRWTC Advisory Board. William Scheffer, General Manager of SIGroup Performance Resin Division, will enlighten participants at our upcoming U.S.-India Trade Forum, on how to manage a plant in India.

CRWTC Member Fortitech, a world leader in the development of custom nutrient premixes has won an Internet Advertising Competition (IAC) award for its “The Ultimate Fortification Destination" advertising campaign. The award is listed as “The Best Food Industry Online Campaign”. The “Ultimate Fortification Destination” campaign was designed to be a comprehensive effort to promote interest and understanding of the vast nutritional resources available on the company's newly redesigned Web site. The promotion launched in early 2005 and was compared with virtually all other corporate Web sites within the food industry and medium.
Fortitech's other recent success is its Halal-compliant certification of its nutrient premix manufacturing plant in Denmark. The certification was given by the Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America and it is expected to open many opportunities for Fortitech in the Muslim market worldwide.
