CRWTC New Facilities

Starting September 2006, CRWTC members, members of the world wide Association of World Trade Centers and visiting businessmen alike will be welcome to come and share the excellent new office space, meeting facilities and international trade services to be offered by the Capital Region World Trade Center (CRWTC) at 100 State Street in downtown Albany.

Designed to enhance the visibility, accessibility and functionality of the Capital Region World Trade Center, our new office facilities and extended business and international trade services will be made available to CRWTC members, local and international businesses alike and to other mobile professionals who desire a prestigious presence and a supportive business environment in New York’s Capital at an affordable price.

Although we will miss our good friends and collogues from the Schenectady County Community College and thank them greatly for their support and service over the last ten years, we hope that the more centralized and substantially larger facilities can become a convenient hub for the region wide international trade community - to meet, to share resources, to be supported and to effectively and profitably ‘GO GLOBAL’. A grand opening with ribbon cutting will be scheduled for late September with all members welcomed and advised of date and time well before hand.

China to Become U.S.'s Third Export Partner

If recent trade trends continue, China may soon become the third largest export market of the United States. With over 36% growth during the first five months this year (over the same period last year) the United States has a good chance to steal the third position from Japan. The first and second positions are held by Canada and Mexico respectively.

Despite the favorable trend, our trade balance is in a high deficit with $202 Billion last year.
